Second Annual Pig + Pie Party

Chickadee Farms will be hosting our Second Annual Pig + Pie Party on Sunday, October 22nd.

Come enjoy locally raised pork BBQ with sides highlighting farm produce. And throw in a pie contest and you can’t beat it! Come, eat, enter the pie contest or just come and eat! Joined with tours of the farm, a community judging panel, and fun for the kids all in the serenity of a small family farm for an unforgettable night!

To honor the spirit of barn raising, we will be using all of the proceeds from the Pig + Pie Party to build a high tunnel on our farm. A high tunnel will allow us to grow year round and better serve our customers. At a whopping $32/sq foot, our goal is to build a 50 ft high tunnel in time for the fall and winter of 2018. Thank you for being a supporter and a big part of our journey as we grow healthy, organic, and delicious food for you!

Welcome

“The soil is the great connector of lives, the source and destination of all. It is the healer and restorer and resurrector, by which disease passes into health, age into youth, death into life. Without proper care for it we can have no community, because without proper care for it we can have no life.”
― Wendell Berry, The Unsettling of America: Culture and Agriculture

Chickadee Farms sells produce locally using techniques of sustainable agriculture that protect the environment, human communities, public health, and animal welfare.

Chickadee Farms strongly values the soil and our community. We have seen the power that comes from connecting people through food. That’s why we have decided to put these values into practice by operating our own small farm. The intention is to provide our community with food that nourishes our bodies as well as the land.
